With
the Information and Communications Technology (ICTs) currently linked
to the fields of health and medical care, it provides healthcare
professionals with more extensive and efficient tools for healthcare
delivery by applying digital health data, wearable & sensors
devices, and smartphones Apps to disease management, telehealth,
and care monitoring. In light of combating the COVID-19 pandemic,
using data-based digital technology to share real-time information
between healthcare workers is demonstrated as a very effective measure.
However, recognizing most APEC member economies established regulations
to strengthen citizen’s rights about consent requirements for health
data collection and use, some economies have passed emergency legislation
for allowing the processing of personal data in the event of a pandemic
period, therefore this conference aims to provide economies with
a platform to share and discuss a variety of healthcare applications
which is strictly on a personal consent basis, and resilient measures
of utilizing health information in response to pandemic under legislations.
The conference will be held by the National Health Insurance Administration
from 21st to 22nd September 2022 in Taipei and will include (1)
interactive sessions to exchange experience, share applications
and measures (2) exhibition booths to display applications in digital
healthcare, and (3) site visit to a healthcare institution. |
